-Available in V4 and V4 S variants
-Based on the new Ducati Panigale V4 superbike
-1,103cc, V4 makes 214bhp
The 2025 Ducati Streetfighter V4 has been unveiled. The motorcycle is available in two variants—Standard and S—the latter featuring semi-active Ohlins electronic suspension, among other goodies. The new Ducati Streetfighter V4 is based on the all-new Panigale V4 introduced a few months ago.
New design
The new Streetfighter V4's design is sharper and more aggressive than its predecessor. It has a new LED headlight cluster with DRLs inspired by those on the Panigale V4. The bike also has two pairs of wings, adding to its visual aggression.
The upper wings are designed similarly to the Panigale V4’s biplane wings. There’s another pair of wings attached to the radiator shroud. These wings provide the necessary downforce, both while accelerating and cornering. Ducati claims the wings generate a vertical load of 45kg at 270kmph which is 17kg more than the 2024 bike.
The fuel tank, side and tail sections, meanwhile, are identical to the new Panigale V4. On the whole, the new Streetfighter V4 looks visually arresting while following the design ethos of the outgoing bike.
More powerful engine
The new Streetfighter V4 is powered by a 1,103cc, Desmosedici Stradale, 90-degree V4 engine that makes 214bhp which is 6bhp more than the outgoing bike’s engine. This engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox with a bi-directional quick shifter.
More electronics
As always, there is a laundry list of electronic rider aids that the bike comes with. There’s multi-level traction control, wheelie control, slide control, launch control and engine brake control. In addition to this, there are four ride modes- Race, Sport, Road and Wet. It also gets four power modes- Full, High, Medium and Low.
The bike also gets the Ducati Vehicle Observer or DVO system that debuted in the Panigale V4. It enhances the accuracy of the intervention levels of the TC and Wheelie control systems.
All the settings for the aforementioned electronics can be accessed via a new 6.9-inch colour TFT display. This is a high-resolution display and is said to offer clear visibility, even under harsh light.
New chassis
Under the bodywork, the bike uses the same front frame as the Panigale V4 as well as the hollow, double-sided swingarm. Only the front end geometry has been revised to suit the Streetfighter’s character. The standard bike has a 43mm Showa fork and Sachs monoshock, both of which are manually adjustable.
The Streetfighter V4 S, on the other hand, has an Ohlins Smart EC 3.0, 43mm NIX30 fork and a TTX36 monoshock. Both of these suspension units are electronically adjustable. More importantly, the fork stroke has gone up by 5mm to 125mm, allowing better bump absorption, claims Ducati.
The bike rides on 17-inch wheels shod with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres. The V4 S, gets l forged wheels which are 2.2kg lighter. Braking duties are taken care of by two, 330mm discs at the front with Brembo’s new Hypure calipers. At the rear, there is a 245mm disc with Brembo calipers.
The bike gets Race eCBS which applies a little bit of the rear brake automatically when the rider applies the front brake. This is done to stabilise the bike under heavy braking and also to assist new riders as they explore the potential of the bike.
Coming to India
The 2025 Ducati Streetfighter V4 and Streetfighter V4 S are expected to be launched in India next year. Expect it to cost a little more than the outgoing motorcycle.
