The new Hero Destini 125 has been launched in India. The scooter is available in three variants and is priced from Rs. 80,450 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Let's take a look at its top five highlights.
Neo retro styling
The Hero Destini 125 features neo-retro styling with angular bodywork. However, it gets modern touches such as an LED headlight and apron-mounted indicators. The rear panels and tail light look unique and set the scooter apart from its rivals. The ZX+ variant benefits from Copper Chrome accents.
New colours
The Hero Destini 125 is available in five colours schemes. The VX trim has three options: Eternal White, Regal Black, and Groovy Red. The ZX variant is available in Cosmic Blue and Mystique Magenta shades. Meanwhile, the ZX+ trim is offered in Eternal White and Regal Black paint themes.
Updated powerplant
The Hero Destini 125 uses an updated version of the 125cc single-cylinder motor, which produces 9bhp and 10.4Nm and is paired with a CVT unit.
Features
Feature-wise, the Destini 125 VX variant has a semi-digital instrument cluster and LED illumination all around. The top-spec ZX and ZX+ trims have a fully digital screen. That said, all variants come with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and auto-cancelling indicators.
Cycle parts
The scooter uses an underbone chassis, suspended on telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the back. All variants get 12-inch alloy wheels while braking tasks are handled by drum brakes on the VX trim, while the ZX and ZX+ variants get a front disc brake.
The Hero Destini 125 competes against the Honda Activa 125, Suzuki Access 125, and the TVS Jupiter 125.
