-Powered by a 649cc, inline four-cylinder engine
-Honda may launch E-clutch variant as well
-Gets Showa USD fork
The 2025 Honda CBR650R is all set to go on sale in India. The company has made the official announcement on its social media channels. The bike is also likely to be displayed at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The CBR650R, in its 2025 avatar, is markedly different from the bike that we last saw here.
The design of the 2025 CBR650R, for instance, is sharper, angrier and follows the design language of the litre-class CBR. The bike’s twin LED headlights, the cuts and creases on the fairing and the upswept tail give the CBR650R a nice, sporty look. It also comes in a rather fetching Grand Prix Red colourway.
Under the bodywork, is a steel diamond frame that is suspended by a Showa SFF USD fork and a monoshock with 10-step preload adjustment. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels while braking is taken care of by twin discs at the front and a disc brake at the rear.
The bike is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder engine that makes 93bhp at 12,000rpm and 63Nm at 9,500rpm. This engine is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. Honda may also introduce the E-Clutch variant in India. The system consists of a couple of servo motors and these help in the shifting process.
Lastly, the CBR650R gets a decent set of features as well, including all-LED lights, TFT display and more. The Honda CBR650R is likely to cost around Rs 9.5 lakh to Rs 9.7 lakh. Once launched, it will go up against the Triumph Daytona 660.
