Kawasaki recently launched the 2025 version of its popular sport tourer, the Ninja 1000. The motorcycle now gets a bigger engine and the ‘1000’ suffix in the name has made way for ‘1100’. While it continues to be a value-for-money proposition with a price tag of Rs. 13.49 lakh, in case you’re open to considering its similarly-price alternatives, here are three of them.
Suzuki Katana: Rs. 13.61 lakh
The Suzuki Katana is one of the most affordable litre-class naked bikes. It comes with a distinctive design which harks back to the original Katana of the olden days. Powered by a 999cc, inline-four engine, the motorcycle produces 150.19bhp and 106Nm and gets a quick shifter as standard. For a litre class offering, it’s quite basic on the feature front as the package includes riding modes, a traction control system, and low rpm assist.
BMW F 900 GS: Rs. 13.75 lakh
The F 900 GS is the replacement to the F 850 GS in BMW’s line-up. It’s more adventure-focused with minimal bodywork and off-road-centric cycle parts. Clinging on to its bridge-type frame is an 895cc, twin-cylinder engine that makes 105bhp and 93Nm. It rides on a 21-17-inch cross-spoke wheel combination with 43mm USD forks and a monoshock, both being fully adjustable. In typical BMW fashion, it comes loaded with rider aids and features to enhance convenience and comfort.
Triumph Tiger 900 GT: Rs. 14.15 lakh
The Tiger 900 GT is a road-biased adventure touring motorcycle. The highlight of the bike is its 888cc, inline-triple engine that sounds and performs like a charm. It also feels way to light on its feet making corner-carving and traffic-filtering effortless affairs. The Tiger 900 GT is also comfortable enough to be a proper mile muncher.
