-Likely to be launched around the festive season
-Gets new KRT edition as well
-Powered by a 998cc, inline-four engine
The 2025 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is expected to go on sale in India around the festive season. The litre-class superbike has just received an update in the form of new colours and is available in the Standard and KRT variants. The Standard bike is available in the Metallic Flat Spark Black with Ebony colour. On the other hand, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R KRT Edition features the Kawasaki Racing Team’s livery consisting of Lime Green with Ebony and Pearl Blizzard White colours.
The KRT edition bike looks particularly striking in the green colour whereas the black colour on the other variant gives it a stealthy appearance, perfect for those who don’t want to draw too much attention to themselves.
That, however, may be a bit hard to do considering the instantly recognisable sound that the Ninja makes. Its 998cc, inline-four engine produces 200bhp (210bhp with ram air) and 114.9Nm but more importantly, it's the scream from the exhaust as the engine reaches the upper end of the rev band that draws enthusiasts towards it. This sweet motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox that also gets a quickshifter.
The list of rider aids on the bike includes traction control, ABS, ride modes and engine brake control, cruise control and more.
Under the bodywork, there is a twin spar, cast aluminium frame with a fully adjustable Showa USD fork and monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by twin 330mm discs at the front with Brembo M50 monobloc calipers and a 220m disc at the rear.
At present, the prices of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R start at Rs 16.79 lakh, ex-showroom. Expect the 2025 models to cost a few thousand rupees extra. Even with a slight bump in price, the Ninja ZX-10R will still be the most affordable litre-class superbike in India. It’s competition, the BMW S 1000 RR is priced from Rs 20.75 lakh onwards.
