- Standard variant comes in a maroon colour
- Café trim boasts a dual-tone black and green paint scheme
- Mechanical specifications remain the same
Kawasaki has updated its inline-four, modern-classic roadster, the Z900RS, for 2025 in Indonesia. The motorcycle comes in two variants including standard and Café and both trims have been bestowed with new shades.
The Café variant is adorned with a full black theme along with a subtle spray of green on the bubble fairing, fuel tank, and rear cowl. The standard version, meanwhile, sports maroon bodywork with elegant golden stripes on the tank and tail. Interestingly, both variants of the bike flaunt a retro Kawasaki logo from the 70s and the standard model has taken colour inspiration from Kawasaki’s 1975 Z1 900. Mechanically, the Z900RS has been left untouched.
It is powered by the same 948cc, inline four-cylinder engine that does duty on the Z900 naked street bike. This unit produces 109.96bhp and 98.5Nm of peak torque while being mated to a six-speed gearbox. On the feature front, it gets basic stuff like full LED lighting, a slipper clutch, and traction control. The hardware package comprises 17-inch alloy wheels, 41mm upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking is handled by dual 300cc discs at the front and a single 250mm disc at the rear. With a 17-litre fuel tank, the motorcycle weighs (kerb) 215kg.
In India, only the standard trim of the Kawasaki Z900RS is available in a black and grey colour scheme with a price tag of Rs. 16.80 lakh. Strangely, the Z900 street bike, which shares the same engine, hardware, and features, is much more affordable at Rs. 9.38 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).
