- Styling inspired by bigger KTM ADVs
- Will be unveiled today at EICMA
- India launch in early 2025
While we await the official unveiling of the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R at EICMA 2024, the motorcycle's design has been completely revealed via these new leaked images. From the looks of it, the display model seems to be a heavily accessorised version of the new 390 Adventure R.
The motorcycle features auxiliary projector lamps that are neatly tucked inside the fairing. It is also equipped with an aluminium bash plate, which looks large enough to protect the engine and exhaust pipe from damage. The 390 Adventure R also features knuckle guards and a disc cover for the front disc.
The overall styling of the new 390 Adventure R is inspired by the bigger KTM ADVs. Meanwhile, the white and orange paint scheme looks beautiful and lends it a good presence.
The new KTM 390 Adventure R will be powered by a 399cc, liquid-cooled motor paired with a six-speed gearbox. The LC4c engine produces 45.3bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 39Nm at 6,500rpm on the 390 Duke. We expect KTM to alter its gearing to suit the ADVs application.
The 390 Adventure R will feature a fully adjustable off-road spec suspension with 230mm travel at both ends. The front will feature WP Apex USD forks while the rear will employ a WP monoshock. Meanwhile, the 390 Adventure X will feature non-adjustable suspension with 200mm wheel travel at both ends. The R will ride on a 21/18-inch spoke wheels setup while the X will use 19/17-inch alloy wheels.
After its global unveil at EICMA 2024, KTM is expected to showcase the 390 Adventure range at the India Bike Week on 6-7 December, 2024. We expect KTM to launch the motorcycle in India in early 2025.
