The all-new KTM 390 Adventure R was finally unveiled at EICMA 2024. It will be launched in India soon, and here is a look at the bike in detail.
The bike's design is radical, distinct and in line with the KTM design ethos. From the rally-bike style faring to the big tank and slender tail section, the new 390 Adventure looks the part.
Under the bodywork, there is a steel trellis frame that is suspended by an adjustable WP fork and a rebound plus preload adjustable monoshock. The bike also has a new gullwing-shaped swing arm.
The 390 Adventure R is expected to be quite capable off-road. Helping it in that regard is a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels
. Even the suspension travel and ground clearance are seemingly enough to engage in off-road shenanigans. Braking duties are taken care of by a disc brake at the front and the rear.
Powering the bike is the KTM 390 Duke’s 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. While KTM has not released details about the peak power and torque figures, expect it to be in around the same ballpark as the street naked bike. For reference, this engine makes 45.3bhp and 39Nm in the 390 Duke.
As for the features, the bike gets all-LED lights and a colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation.
In terms of competition, the KTM 390 Adventure R goes up against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
