KTM is all set to unveil the next-generation 390 Adventure range today at India Bike Week 2024. The Austrian bike maker will showcase the new KTM 390 Adventure range and the 390 Enduro R at IBW. According to KTM’s official announcement, the bikes will be displayed on the IBW main stage at 6:06 pm.
Although it is still unconfirmed, we expect KTM to unveil the 390 Adventure X at IBW as that is an India-specific model. And you should note that it wasn’t unveiled at EICMA either, so it makes sense for KTM to debut it in India. As for the 390 Adventure R, we expect it to be launched around mid-2025. Apart from the X, the company will also showcase the KTM 390 Enduro R at IBW 2024.
While KTM is yet to release the official specifications of the motorcycles, we expect the 390 Adventure range and 390 Enduro R to be powered by the same 399cc, liquid-cooled motor as the 390 Duke. The engine produces 45.9bhp and 39Nm of peak torque. That said, KTM is likely to alter the final drive ratio and use different sprocket sizes to suit the ADV's and Enduro’s applications.
Leaked reports have suggested that the new KTM 390 Adventure X will ride on 19/17-inch alloy wheels. It will be suspended on non-adjustable USD forks up front and a preload adjustment monoshock at the back. The motorcycle will get a seat height of 825mm, while its features list will include an LCD cluster and non-cornering dual-channel ABS with supermoto mode.
The KTM 390 Enduro R, meanwhile, will ride 21/18-inch wire spoke wheels wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. It will get a flat seat, stubby LED headlight, and minimal bodywork to make it abuse-friendly. It is likely to feature fully adjustable suspension with a wheel travel of 230mm at both ends.
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure range and the 390 Enduro R will be launched in India in January 2025. As for the 390 SMC R, KTM is still undecided and considering it for launch in India.
