- Spy shot shows the front section of the bike
- It will be powered by the new 399cc engine
- Likely to get adjustable suspension as standard
KTM is actively testing the next-generation model of its popular 390 Adventure and the bike has been spied on multiple occasions to date. As we are waiting for its official launch to take place, a new spy shot of the bike has surfaced on the internet.
The new image clearly reveals the front fascia of the motorcycle which certainly looks bigger and more imposing than the existing model. It boasts a fairly tall windscreen with the registration plate suspended onto it. This windscreen also runs low enough to surround the headlamp assembly from both sides thereby hinting that the wind protection on offer will be impressive. The headlamp houses a pair of vertically stacked LEDs and the overall front section closely resembles the bigger KTM adventure bikes, especially the new 1390 Adventure.
The highlight of the bike will be the new 399cc, liquid-cooled engine that does duty on the latest 390 Duke. On the naked bike, this motor produces 45.3bhp and 39Nm and the performance numbers are likely to be the same for the ADV, but with different tuning and gearing. This engine will cling on to a new chassis and, perhaps, other hardware components like the swingarm, suspension, and spoke wheels will also be new. Adjustable WP suspension might come as standard, at least on the higher variants.
Besides the iteration shown in this spy shot, KTM might also launch a more hardcore version of the 390 Adventure with a 21-inch front wheel. The official announcement is expected to take place at this year’s EICMA followed by the India launch later.
