- Expected to be launched in India in early 2025
- Will be powered by a new 399cc, LC4c engine
- Features a Dakar-rally-bike-inspired styling
The next-generation KTM 390 Adventure seems to be nearing its global debut as a production-ready test mule was recently spotted testing in India. The current-gen 390 Adventure has started to get a bit long in the tooth since it was launched in 2019, and this is the right time for KTM to introduce the 2025 model in the country.
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure will abandon its road-going personality for an off-road-centric makeover, complete with a rally-bike-inspired design philosophy and spoke wheels. Spied in near-production form, the motorcycle will feature styling similar to KTM’s Dakar rally bikes with a beak-style fender, tall fairing, and a flat tail section.
The new 390 Adventure will also feature a rally-bike-inspired high-mounted colour TFT, which is likely to be similar to the one on the new KTM 390 Duke. The motorcycle will be underpinned by a new strengthened trellis frame, suspended on longer-travel suspension. For 2025, KTM will launch two versions of the 390 Adventure – a tourer and an enduro. While the former will ride on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, the latter will use a 21/17-inch wheel combination.
The 2025 390 Adventure will be powered by the new 399cc, liquid-cooled, LC4c engine that made its debut on the 2024 KTM 390 Duke. The single-cylinder motor churns out 45.3bhp at 8,500rpm and 39Nm at 6,500rpm of peak torque on the naked bike. The engine will be paired with a six-speed gearbox.
In terms of competition, the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure will rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, and the BMW G 310 GS. It will also compete against the upcoming Hero Xpulse 400. The adventure tourer is expected to debut at EICMA 2024 in November. So, expect it to go on sale in India in early 2025.
