-Fresh images with barely any camouflage
-Has the KTM 390 Duke’s engine
-India launch soon!
The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure has been spotted testing yet again. This time, however, the bike is seen participating in an international competition. That’s one way to test the off-roading abilities of the 390 Adventure by putting it through a gruelling test. What’s interesting is that the bike in the pictures is wrapped in barely any camouflage, giving us an idea of what the bike would look like.
What instantly grabs our attention is the Dakar-bike-styled fairing. The vertically stacked LED dual projector headlights, encompassed by an LED DRL ring and the tall windscreen give the new KTM 390 Adventure a proper big-bike look. Not to mention the high-mount mudguard and the 21-inch wire-spoke front wheel that adds to the stance of the new KTM 390 Adventure.
There’s a good amount of visual mass around the fuel tank. It appears to be a metal unit with plastic cladding around it. The tank extensions have a sharp design that’s quintessentially KTM.
The 390 Adventure’s side and tail sections integrate like a jigsaw puzzle and are another interesting element of the design of the bike. The LED tail light is part of the tail section and one can also spot the split grab handles for the pillion.
Under the bodywork, one can see the steel trellis frame that is suspended by an adjustable WP Apex fork and a WP monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by a disc brake at the front and the rear.
As we’d reported earlier, KTM is working in multiple variants of the new KTM 390 Adventure and this particular example is for those looking to go far down an off-road trail. Since this test bike is taking part in an off-road competition, one can see the more off-road biased tyres and the metal bash plate.
The bike will be powered by the KTM 390 Duke’s engine. This 399cc, single-cylinder engine makes 45.3bhp and 39Nm. Expect this engine to make similar power and torque in the ADV. That said, KTM may alter the sprocketing to suit the ADV application.
Lastly, expect KTM to include a long list of features on the new 390 Adventure. Expect to see a colour TFT with Bluetooth connectivity, switchable traction control, switchable ABS, quick shifter and more.
KTM is likely to launch the new 390 Adventure in India soon after its debut that’s expected to take place at the EICMA 2024 in November.
