-Likley to be launched in India in three variants
The new KTM 390 Adventure will be showcased for the first time in India at the IBW or India Bike Week in December. The ADV has been highly anticipated, especially after its debut at the EICMA in Italy. The new KTM 390 Adventure will replace the existing 390 Adventure in the Indian market.
The new KTM 390 Adventure features a radical, new design, new chassis and an engine from the KTM 390 Duke. KTM is targeting a wide price point by launching multiple variants of the 390 Adventure. Word is that there may be three variants on offer- X, Standard and the range-topping 390 Adventure R.
The bike is powered by the KTM 390 Duke’s liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. While KTM has not released details about the peak power and torque figures, expect it to be in around the same ballpark as the street naked bike. For reference, this engine makes 45.3bhp and 39Nm in the 390 Duke.
As for the features, the bike gets all-LED lights and a colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. The R variant also has cruise control, which is a first in the segment.
In terms of competition, the KTM 390 Adventure R goes up against the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
