- Will get dedicated buttons to engage/reset cruise control
- To be showcased at EICMA 2024
- India launch expected in early 2025
KTM USA recently previewed the next-generation 390 Adventure at the 2024 KTM Adventure Rally in South Dakota, USA. According to new leaked images of the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R, the motorcycle is expected to come packed with a cruise control system.
The LHS switchgear has a cruise control switch in the top left corner. What’s even more interesting is that there is a ‘+/Res’ button at the bottom to set/reset the speed. This feature should help elevate its touring capabilities by offering a relaxed cruising experience during multi-day long rides.
Besides cruise control, we expect the new KTM 390 Adventure to get all the features of the new 390 Duke. These should include a bi-directional quickshifter, lean-sensitive cornering ABS with supermoto mode, traction control system, LED lighting, TFT colour instrumentation, Bluetooth connectivity, and more.
The motorcycle will also feature fully adjustable suspension and a 21/18-inch spoke wheel setup with dual-purpose tyres. It will be powered by a 399cc, liquid-cooled, LC4c engine from the new 390 Duke. This motor makes 45.3bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 39.5Nm at 6,500rpm. However, we expect KTM to alter the final drive ratio to suit the ADV’s application.
KTM is expected to debut the next-generation 390 Adventure range at EICMA 2024 in November. The motorcycle is likely to be launched in India in early 2025. The 390 Adventure range is expected to include four variants, while KTM is also readying the 390 SMC R on the same platform.
