- Will feature a 4.1-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity
- Gets turn-by-turn navigation and music controls
- Same suspension setup as the 390 Adventure S
The KTM 390 SMC R recently debuted at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy. While KTM refrained from revealing the official specifications of the bike, the company has now revealed a few details about the Supermoto.
Similar to the 390 Enduro R, the SMC R will feature a 4.1-inch colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The cluster will offer features such as turn-by-turn navigation, and music controls. Staying true to its genre, the KTM 390 SMC R will get dual-channel ABS with a supermoto mode. It can be activated from the dedicated ABS on/off switch on the LHS switch cube.
Suspension duties will be carried out by adjustable 43mm WP Apex upside-down front forks and an adjustable monoshock. This is the same unit as the one on the Adventure S and the Enduro R and should offer a similar suspension travel of 230mm. The front forks will offer rebound and compression adjustability, while the rear will get preload and rebound adjustments.
The KTM 390 SMC R will be powered by a 399cc, liquid-cooled motor. On the new 390 Duke, this LC4c engine churns out 45.3bhp and 39Nm and comes linked to a six-speed gearbox.
While the new 390 Adventure S and the 390 Enduro R are expected to be launched in late January 2025, KTM still considering the SMC R for India. That said, the company has commenced testing the supermoto in India, so the launch should happen in the first half of 2025.
