- Compliant with OBD-2B norms
- Gixxer SF is Rs. 1,500 more expensive now
- Three new colour options on offer
Suzuki has launched the 2025 models of its sporty commuters, the Gixxer and Gixxer SF in India. Both bikes are now OBD 2B compliant and have received new colour options. While the naked Gixxer is priced at Rs. 1,37,900, the SF model costs Rs. 1,47,400 (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). While the price for the former has remained unchanged, the latter has become Rs. 1,500 more expensive.
The Japanese bike maker has updated the engine of these bikes to comply with the upcoming OBD-2B emission norms which will come into effect soon. This hasn’t brought along any changes to their performance. Both bikes are powered by a common 155cc, air-cooled engine that produces 13.41bhp and 13.8Nm and comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. While the naked Gixxer weighs 141kg, the faired version is slightly heavier at 148kg. The fuel tank capacity is the same at 12 litres.
While the same bodywork has been retained for the 2025 models, there are three new colour options on offer including Metallic Triton Blue/Pearl Glacier White, Glass Sparkle Black, and Metallic Oort Gray/ Metallic Lush Green. On the feature front, both bikes come equipped with an LED headlamp and tail lamp, a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, and single-channel ABS. The hardware package is quite basic with a diamond-type chassis, 17-inch alloy wheels, telescopic forks, a monoshock, and a single disc brake at both ends.
