Triumph has updated the Speed 400 for 2025, and as a part of the model year updates, the motorcycle gets visual, functional, and feature upgrades. These changes come at a time when Royal Enfield has launched the Guerrilla 450, a direct rival to the Triumph Speed 400. Let’s take a closer look at all the changes on the 2025 Speed 400 via this detailed image gallery.
The most significant update comes in the way the motorcycle looks. Although the design hasn’t been altered, Triumph offers four new paint schemes. These are Racing Yellow/Pearl Metallic White, Phantom Black/Pewter Grey, Pearl Metallic White/Pewter Grey, and Racing Red/Pearl Metallic White. Our favourite is the yellow shade that pops out and adds boldness to its design.
Triumph has also upgraded the seat cushioning using high-density foam to improve the overall ride comfort. This has resulted in an increase in the saddle height to 803mm from the earlier 790mm on the older model.
Feature-wise, the 2025 Triumph Speed 400 comes fitted with adjustable clutch and brake levers as standard from the factory. These allow the user to adjust the lever reach as per their finger’s length.
Triumph has equipped the motorcycle with high-profile Vredestein radial tyres. This has been done to lend a beefier look to the bike, while also bestowing it with superior grip in dry and wet conditions.
There aren’t any mechanical changes though. The new Speed 400 continues with the 399cc, liquid-cooled motor. The single-cylinder engine delivers 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and 37.5Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a torque-assist clutch.
The MY2025 treatment has resulted in the Speed 400 getting dearer by Rs. 5,000. It is priced at Rs. 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom). That said, the price hike is justified considering the value these upgrades bring to the table.
