Alongside the Speed T4, Triumph also launched the 2025 Speed 400 in India recently. The motorcycle gets visual enhancements, new features, and a few more changes compared to the older model. Here is all that is new on the 2025 Triumph Speed 400.
New Colours
The MY2025 model gets new paint schemes and other updates to enhance its overall visual appeal and ride comfort. The new Speed 400 is offered in four colours – Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Phantom Black, and Racing Red. Although all the colours look good, our favourite is the new yellow paint scheme, which pops out and adds freshness to its styling.
Besides the colours, Triumph has also used thicker seat cushioning to improve ride comfort. This has led to a marginal increase in the seat height to 803mm. The earlier model had a seat height of 790mm.
New Features and Tyres
The new Triumph Speed 400 gets adjustable brakes and clutch levers that allow the rider to adjust the levers according to the length of their fingers. Apart from this, the motorcycle rides on high-profile radial Vredestein tyres. These tyres offer a beefier look to the bike and should offer better grip in dry and wet conditions.
Increased Pricing
With the MY2025 update, the price of the new Speed 400 has gone up by nearly Rs. 15,000. The motorcycle is now priced at Rs. 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, the more affordable Triumph Speed T4 costs Rs. 2.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new Speed 400 continues to be powered by the 399cc, liquid-cooled motor that pumps out 39.5bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 37.5Nm at 6,500rpm. The single-cylinder motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a torque-assist clutch. Triumph has commenced bookings for the 2025 Speed 400 and the deliveries will begin in a few weeks.
