- Rs. 10,000 more expensive now
- Gets updated hardware and electronics
- Engine remains the same
Triumph has launched the 2025 Speed Twin 900 in India with a price tag of Rs. 8.89 lakh, ex-showroom. That makes it just Rs. 10,000 more expensive than its predecessor which is impressive considering it brings along a host of changes to the table.
The hardware package has been bettered with the inclusion of upside-down forks and piggy-back rear springs both sourced from Marzocchi. There’s a new stiffer and lighter aluminium swingarm along with the rear wheel travel reduced from 120mm to 110mm which, Triumph claims, improved handling without compromising comfort. Moreover, new alloy wheels are shod with Michelin Road Classic tyres that are brought to a halt via a bigger 320mm disc with a radical caliper at the front. Triumph has also worked on making the seating ergonomics more involving by tweaking the seat design.
On the electronics front, Road and Rain modes are joined by lean-sensitive ABS and traction control which come as standard. All the information is displayed on a new TFT screen which can be equipped with Bluetooth connectivity by paying extra. Furthermore, Triumph has tweaked the design of the motorcycle to make it look sportier and it bears more resemblance with its bigger sibling, the Speed Twin 1200. The engine, meanwhile, continues to be the same 900cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin unit that produces 65bhp and 80Nm.
