The new Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro and Tiger 1200 GT Pro Explorer have gone on sale in India. These big-capacity ADVs have received a few notable upgrades for 2025. Here are the details in the images.
The design of the Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro and GT Pro Explorer is good-looking yet purposeful. From the LED headlight to the sharply raked beak, the large fuel tank (30 litres on Explorer), and the exposed subframe, there is a nice blend of form and function. For 2025, Triumph has introduced a new colour: Carnival Red.
The Tiger 1200 GT range is powered by a 1,160cc, inline-three-cylinder engine that makes 150bhp at 9,000rpm and 130Nm at 7,000rpm. Triumph has worked on improving refinement, while the low-end torque delivery is said to be smoother. Triumph has also added dampeners in the handlebar to further isolate vibrations from the bike's touch points.
The bike gets new seats for improved comfort over long distances. The large windscreen also allows for good wind protection, which should reduce fatigue over long distances.
The bike comes with a long list of electronics. This includes cornering traction control, cornering ABS, six ride modes, keyless ignition, fuel lid opening and steering lock and Showa semi-active suspension. The settings for these can be accessed via the 7-inch TFT display.
In addition to this, the Tiger 1200 GT Explorer gets heated grips, heated seats and a tyre pressure monitoring system as standard.
The Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Pro and GT Pro Explorer go up against the Ducati Multistrada V4 range, the BMW R 1300 GS range and the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250
