The new Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro and Tiger 1200 Rally Pro Explorer have been launched in India. The bikes have received a few updates for 2025 and here is a look at their details.
The Tiger Rally Pro and Explorer are large motorcycles with an imposing stance. In typical ADV fashion, the high-mounted beak, the exposed subframe and the short tail section have been neatly executed.
Powering the bike is a 1,160cc, inline three-cylinder engine with a T-place crank. It produces around 150bhp at 9,000rpm and 130Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. Triumph has improved the engine's refinement while the clutch has been tweaked for smoother gearshifts.
Under the bodywork, there’s a tubular steel frame and a bolt-on subframe suspended by a long travel USD fork and monoshock. These are Showa semi-active units. The bike rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear, wire-spoke wheels.
In terms of features, there is lean-sensitive traction control, cornering ABS, multiple ride modes, keyless ignition, fuel filler cap opening and more.
The Tiger 1200 Rally range is aimed at those who want the best of both worlds, that is riding off-road as well as on the tramac. The bike makes for a nicely rounded package. It goes up against the BMW R 1300 GS and the Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally.
