- Gets an assist and slipper clutch
- New colour option introduced
- Mechanical details remain unchanged
Yamaha has updated the MT-03 for 2025 in the international markets. The company has given the motorcycle subtle changes, just like its faired sibling, while keeping it mechanically unchanged.
Yamaha has tweaked the MT-03’s tail section to make it look compact and lend it a fresher visual appeal. While this change will be hard to notice for onlookers, the new Ice Storm colour scheme certainly looks bolder than all the previous colours of the motorcycle.
Functional changes have come in the form of a new LCD negative dash with Bluetooth connectivity. It gives riders access to turn-by-turn navigation and alerts them about incoming calls and messages. Lastly, the six-speed gearbox of the bike comes mated to an assist and slipper clutch.
The bike continues to be powered by a 321cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor which makes 42bhp and 29.6Nm. It rides on 17-inch wheels that are suspended by USD forks and a monoshock while braking duties are handled by a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS. With a kerb weight of just 167kg, it’s quite a light and nimble motorcycle and the low seat height of 780mm makes it further accessible. The fuel tank capacity of this street naked stands at 14 litres.
We expect Yamaha to launch the 2025 MT-03 in India sometime next year. The existing model costs Rs. 4.60 lakh, ex-showroom and the updated model might come with a slightly higher price tag.
