Yamaha has finally updated the YZF-R3 for 2025 in the global markets. The latest update brings about new features and an updated design package. Let's take a closer look at the new Yamaha R3 via a detailed image gallery.
The 2025 Yamaha YZF-R3 looks sharp, fresh and sporty courtesy of the new R-series design language. It is available in three colours - Team Yamaha Blue, Matte Stealth Black, and Lunar White/Nebula Blue.
The motorcycle features a revised fascia a new LED-projector headlamp and four-way position lamps. Even the turn signals get LED treatment. In profile, the side fairing has been redesigned as has the tail section to lend a sporty stance to the motorcycle.
In the features department, Yamaha has equipped the R3 with a new LCD cluster and Bluetooth connectivity, which works in conjunction with the Y-Connect app that allows the rider to access call and notification alerts and various rider information.
It also comes with an assist and slipper clutch, which should help in aggressive downshifts while lightening the clutch-pull action.
That said, the 2025 YZF-R3 continues to use the 321cc, parallel-twin engine that produces 41.4bhp and 29.5Nm. It comes paired with a six-speed gearbox.
Suspension tasks are handled by KYB USD front forks and a rear monoshock. Meanwhile, the braking power comes from single discs at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
The Yamaha YZF-R3 rivals the Aprilia RS 457 and the Kawasaki Ninja 500. For now, Yamaha retails the older-generation R3 in India and the 2025 model could come to our shores in early next year.
