- Yamaha is considering it for India
- 2025 model received a host of updates
Yamaha has showcased the 2025 edition of its globally revered adventure motorcycle, the Tenere 700 World Raid at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. The company is considering the bike for the Indian market and it might be launched in the near future.
The 2025 edition of the motorcycle has a bunch of changes which make it even better than before. Firstly, Yamaha has tweaked the design of the bike by making the headlamp look more radical and robotic. Plus, the body panels are colour-coordinated, indicators are new and there’s a new one-piece, rally-style kit. On the feature front, it’s more contemporary with a new ride-by-wire system and two ride modes - Explorer and Sport. A new rally book-style 6.3-inch TFT screen has also been included along with a USB Type-C charging port.
While the 698cc, parallel-twin motor has largely remained the same, the gearbox gets revised internals and the clutch cover has been redesigned. Other changes to the bike include wider footpegs and a new suspension setup. The standard variant is equipped with a pair of fully adjustable upside-down 43mm forks with 210mm of travel and a monoshock with a remote adjuster and 200mm of travel.
If the Yamaha Tenere 700 makes its India debut, it will compete against the Honda Transalp and the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE.
