Earlier this month, Benelli unveiled the Leoncino at the 2015 EICMA in Milan, Italy. This middleweight motorcycle is one of the first new motorcycles to be built on the parallel twin platform, which is also shared with an adventure bike. A neo-retro bike, the Leoncino will be targeted at the likes of Ducati Scrambler and the Triumph Street Twin. Check out the detailed photo gallery of the Benelli Leoncino.
Benelli says that the Leoncino’s design has been influenced by the company’s century-old heritage.
The blacked out headlamp gets a classic round shape with the LED strip adding a modern touch.
The tall rear section gets a miniscule LED tail lamp assembly flanked by clear lens indicators.
The two exhaust manifolds mould into a single unit, ending with an upswept single canister with twin outlets.
The front wheel gets a dual 320mm disc brake at the front with ABS offered as a standard fitment.
The raised rear section and the Continental Twinduro tyres hint at the Leoncino’s off road capabilities.
Benelli will commence production of the Leoncino by March 2016, though it might take a while before the bike is launched in india.
