After a gap of more than eight years, TVS has re-launched the Victor commuter motorcycle in the Indian market. Positioned in lucrative, yet highly competitive 110cc segment, the Victor has undergone a major revamp to make it competitive against the likes of Honda Dream series, Hero Passion XPro, Mahindra Centuro and the Yamaha Crux. The front gets a conservative, yet completely new design. The headlamp gets a 60W high intensity bulb to offer superior visibility at night.
The handlebar and footpeg position have been optimised to offer a comfortable riding position. The broad and cushy seat also helps this cause.
The engine comes with advanced three-valve Ecothrust technology, which offers the best compromise of power and performance.
The Victor rides on conventional telescopic front forks and a five-step preload adjustable dual spring suspension in the rear.
The blacked-out chassis, exhaust, engine and the side panels of the Victor contrast beautifully with the bike’s metallic paint scheme.
Powering the Victor is a 110cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, delivering 9bhp and 9Nm of torque through a four-speed transmission.
The Victor is available in two versions – front disc and front drum. The former gets 240mm disc brake at the front, while the latter gets a 130mm drum unit.
The fuel tank capacity, at eight litres, is relatively small in size. The ARAI-approved efficiency figure of 76kmpl though should give it a pretty big overall range.
