Suzuki Two Wheelers India has unveiled the new Hayate EP – their entry-level commuter motorcycle. This new motorcycle is not just a cosmetic facelift, but gets mechanical changes too.
The new Hayate EP gets a new diamond frame, which has increased the wheelbase. The company claims that the new Hayate has the longest wheelbase in the segment that’ll give the bike more straight line stability. Other than this, the Japanese manufacturer has reworked the engine. This 112cc engine now gets the SEP (Suzuki Eco Performance), which uses sleek piston, high-ignition spark plug and low friction cylinder and piston rings. This change has helped Suzuki to improve combustion, reduce friction and weight reduction on the new Hayate EP.
In terms of features, there aren't any new additions. The bike gets tubeless tyres and maintenance-free battery. At the cosmetic front, Suzuki has played with new decals and new colours. The new Hayate EP is available in three colours – metallic oort grey, pearl mira red and glass sparkle black.
Suzuki hasn’t revealed the price of the new Hayate EP yet. However, it did mention about its intention to launch the bike in the current financial year. In terms of pricing, we’re expecting no increase in price and expect it will continue to sell close to Rs 54,607 (on-road Delhi). It is also interesting to note that the company unveiled the bike just before the Auto Expo.
