KTM has launched the new-for-2017 RC 390 at Rs 2,25,300 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi, an increase of roughly 5 per cent. It will be available immediately at KTM dealers across the country.
The RC 390 gets a few mechanical updates as well, unlike the RC 200. It gets a new side-mounted exhaust instead of an underbelly one to meet Euro-lV emission regulations. There is a bigger front disc at 320mm, which should ensure that brake fade is ever more difficult to achieve. It also gets a ride-by-wire throttle, a slipper clutch, adjustable levers, wider rear view mirrors, an 'EVAP' system which prevents fuel loss through evaporation and a CAN BUS system which is probably a result of the RC 390 now taking part in a feeder racing series for WSBK. Among the hardware retained is the display of the outgoing RC. There will be only one new paint scheme for the 2017 model year.
The 2017 KTM RC 390 completes with the likes of the Yamaha YZF-R3, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the upcoming Benelli Tornado 302R.
