Akrapovic has launched a new aftermarket exhaust system for the BMW G 310R. Called Racing Line, this exhaust system is available in two finishes – steel and carbon.
The Evolution Line is offered with a hexagonal end can. This system not only reduces the overall weight of the motorcycle, but also blends with the bike’s racy character and gives it a throaty exhaust note. Akrapovic claims that the Racing Line exhaust improves power and torque delivery across the entire rev range. The bump in power is as much as 2.4bhp while the torque rating is higher by 2.7Nm.
The Akrapovic Racing Line exhaust system is available in either a stainless steel finish or a carbon fibre finish. While the former is 3.3kg lighter than the stock exhaust, the latter is 4.6kg lighter. This exhaust system will go on sale in March in the European markets with a price tag of around EUR 610 (Rs 43,000). The BMW G 310R will be launched in India in the next few months, and we can expect the official importers of Akrapovic to introduce the Racing Line series here as soon as the bike goes on sale.
