TVS has launched the BS-IV compliant versions of its Apache range. The Apache RTR 160, RTR 180, RTR 180 with ABS and the flagship Apache RTR 200 meet the stringent BS-IV emission norms.
Other than the BS-IV compliant engine, all bikes adhere to Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) norm. But the Hosur-based manufacture has equipped all the Apaches with daytime running lamp (DRL) to help these bikes meet this compliance. The Apache RTR 160 has been priced at Rs 75,089 whereas the RTE 180 gets a price tag of Rs 80,019. The ABS version of the RTR 180 is being sold at Rs 90,475 – almost Rs 10,000 more than the non-ABS version. TVS’ flagship model – the Apache RTR 200 4V –has been launched at Rs 92,215. All these prices are ex-showroom Delhi. It is quite interesting to see that the company has still not put up the fuel-injected and the ABS versions of the RTR 200 on sale despite it being nearly a year since its official launch.
TVS has already started dispatching the BS-IV Apaches to its dealers across the country. The company and its dealers were recently part of the BS-III stock clearance sale, which benefitted many Indian buyers.
