Bajaj has decided to pass on the advantage to its customers by introducing post-Goods and Services Tax (GST) reduced prices on its entire range of bikes before the government implements it from July 1,2017. The price reduction varies, depending of the model of the motorcycle and the state that the bike has been purchased in and goes up to ₹ 4,500. The price cut on the motorcycles will be available from 14 -30 June.
The implementation of the GST on 1 July, 2017 will prompt cost savings for the manufacturers, some or all of which will eventually be passed down to the customers. Although, Bajaj is the only company offering post-GST prices before the implementation, the move comes after the Pune-based manufacturer hiked prices of the Dominar 400 and its entire Pulsar range.
Bajaj Auto sells a range of motorcycles starting from entry level CT 100 priced at ₹ 32,846 (ex-showroom Delhi) to its flagship Dominar 400 retailing at ₹ 1.53 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
