- New Classic 350 will get LED lights
- Will also get adjustable levers
- Launch on 12 August
Royal Enfield has decided to launch an updated Classic 350. The launch will take place on 12 August, and some big updates have been planned for this bike.
According to our sources, the Classic 350 will receive only aesthetic and feature upgrades. The mechanical aspects of this modern retro will be retained with this upgrade. But there’s a new ‘Project J2’ under development, which will see massive changes on the Classic 350, and also other bikes like the Meteor 350 and the Bullet 350. However, this upgrade is still at least two years away.
For the new Classic 350, Royal Enfield will equip the bike with LED lights throughout. The headlight, turn indicators and even the taillight will get LED treatment. This bike will also see adjustable levers – a first for this 350cc platform. However, the LED lights and adjustable levers won’t come standard in the entry-level models – a way to keep the price down.
The company will also give the Classic 350 new paint schemes. Currently, the bike is sold in a total of 11 colour options- and with these new paint options, the company is expecting to garner more sales. The sales of the Classic 350 haven’t been too impressive over the last few months. So these updates are likely to create some excitement in the segment, and the company is hoping to sell a lot more Classic 350s this festive season. But we expect a marginal increase in pricing.
