Jonas Folger, one of the two rookies riding for the Tech 3 Yamaha team, has been forced to pull out of the Japanese MotoGP race to be held this weekend. His symptoms have existed since the summer break, and this past Tuesday and Wednesday the racer didn't have enough energy to even walk.
Folger has since been examined by the doctors at the Clinica Mobile and they have recommended that he fly to his home country of Germany for a full checkup. He is scheduled to undergo tests at a hospital in Munich, where more information should give him and the team an idea of the timeline for his return. Team principal Herve Poncharal has also gone on record to say that it is '99 per cent certain that he will not participate in the Australian round'.
Folger is doing very well in his rookie MotoGP season, with 84 points good for 10th position in the riders' championship, and a second place finish at the German MotoGP round behind current championship leader Marc Marquez.
