Yamaha has showcased their future plans with the Motoroid concept.
The manufacturer has equipped the bike with self-balancing technology and an artificial intelligence system which connects the bike with the rider’s personal devices. The Motoroid can do something that Thor’s magical hammer does. The bike’s artificial intelligence helps it recognize and interact with the owner. It can ride out of a parking and come right to you as it is fully aware of your movements, your plans for the day and your immediate needs. Well, that sounds creepy, but also mighty useful. The tail section of the bike drops off so that the rider can get on. Once astride, it closes back again to secure the rider.
The bike is an electric concept, although Yamaha has not revealed the power or range of the bike yet. We might not see any of this technology on production models for a few years. Nevertheless, it is interesting to see what future holds for us.
