The 2017 India Bike Week witnessed the launch of a new navigational device for motorcyclists, called the Maximus Pro. Priced at Rs 14,999, the device is offered with a two-year subscription.
The Maximus Pro kit consists of a connectivity module, a display module which can be mounted on the handlebar and a cell phone app for Android and iPhones. The display on the module shows directions, which can be set through the app. Maximus Pro has tied up with Google Maps to provide navigation. The layout of the display has been designed to have minimum distractions, while feeding enough information about the route. The screen’s brightness is adjusted automatically according to ambient light.
Maximus Pro also has provision to broadcast messages to your pre-designated contacts, in case of an emergency. The module integrates a SIM card with a two year subscription. On a full charge, the module’s battery lasts up to 3 days. For now, the Maximus Pro has been designed to work only within India.
