Hero MotoCorp has finally unveiled its first ever 125cc scooter, the Maestro Edge 125. This name is quite familiar as its 110cc variant is also named the Maestro Edge.
The Gurgaon-based manufacturer hasn’t really played with the design of this new 125cc scooter. The front apron, side panels and even the tail section are similar to the ones seen on the Maestro Edge 110.
The Maestro Edge 125 gets its power from a new 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor. This motor produces nine per cent and 17 per cent more power and torque than the 110cc engine respectively. However, the 125cc motor gets the famous integrated start stop (i3s) system to maximise the fuel efficiency.
In terms of features, the Maestro Edge 125 gets side-stand indicator, external fuel filler cap, front disc with combined braking system and USB charging under the seat.
Hero hasn’t revealed the exact timeline of the official launch, but we’re expecting it to happen much before the festive season kicks in. The Maestro Edge 125 is expected to be pricier than its 110cc sibling by Rs 5000 to Rs 7000
