Honda has taken the wraps off its electric concept, the PCX, at the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo. This is the second time this product has made it to a motor show, with Tokyo Motor Show being the first one.
The PCX electric looks identical to its petrol-powered sibling. But the usage of blue and bright white colours makes it look cool and also appealing. This scooter gets its power from a 0.98kW electric motor. It also gets detachable lithium-ion mobile battery pack. With this, the rider can easily remove the battery pack and install a fully-charged one. The charger is integrated and can be accessed through the outlet placed between the legs.
We don’t think Honda will launch the PCX electric scooter in India anytime soon. While most of the two-wheelers are in the process of readying electric models, we don’t think there’s a market for PCX electric yet. Rather, an electric variant of Activa will do wonders for the company.
