Piaggio unveiled the Vespa Notte at the 2018 Auto Expo, earlier this week. Based on their 125cc platform, this scooter is expected to go on sale in the next few months.
The Vespa Notte is built around the same monocoque chassis as the rest of the Vespa range. The styling is similar to the VXL, with a round headlamp and elegant lines. However, the Notte gets a sinister-looking matte paint scheme to set it apart. The alloy wheels get a unique three-spoke pattern. The rear section gets a clean look, and is void of a grab rail.
Powering the Vespa Note is a 125cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. Mated to a CVT transmission, this engine delivers 9.5bhp and 9.9Nm of torque. It rides on 11-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels, with drum brakes at both ends. We expect the Vespa Notte to be priced around Rs 90,000. Apart from its own stable mates, the Vespa Notte doesn't really have any competition.
