TVS has announced the final team for the 2018 Ladies One Make Series to be held at the Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai and the Kari Speedway, Coimbatore.
The team which consists of 17 women racers have been chosen after two selection rounds held in Mumbai and Bangalore considering best lap timings, physical fitness and racing abilities. The final selection round with 40 riders was held at the MMRT in Chennai.
For the TVS Ladies One Make Series, the racers will compete against each other in five races on the race-tuned TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. The riders will also undergo training under experts from TVS Racing to improve fitness and racing skills before the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship. The championship is scheduled to be held in June this year.
The TVS Ladies One Make Series is in its 3rd edition, first started in 2016 hosted along with the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC). The last season saw 15 women racers competing against each other in 4 races with Aishwarya Pissay claiming the 2017 title.
