- Unveiled at Bike Shed Motorcycle Club in London.
- Custom drag bike based on the 650cc twins.
- Gets high performance aftermarket parts.
Royal Enfield took the wraps of a custom drag bike christened the LockStock at the Bike Shed Motorcycle Club, London.
The bike is based on the 650 twins- the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650. However, the LockStock gets minimal bodywork and barely resembles either of the two bikes, save the fuel tank and engine. It gets a carbon fibre front fender that seems to be borrowed from the Suzuki Hayabusa along with a carbon fibre headlamp cowl that houses an LED projector with LED DRL. The bike's handlebars face downwards, almost vertically and are attached to the inverted Ohlins front forks and six-spoke alloy wheels. The exhaust is an underbelly unit that has been integrated with the belly pan.
The Royal Enfield LockStock uses a revised version of the Continental GT 650’s double-cradle frame although the rear is a hardtail, meaning the LockStock does not get any rear suspension. The sub frame is also stretched to improve straight line stability. Braking duties are taken care of by a single disc on both ends; both using Brembo four-pot calipers.
Powering the bike is a retuned version of the 648cc, parallel-twin, engine from the Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650. While power figures are unknown we can expect the LockStock to be more powerful. To bump things up on the straights, the LockStock is equipped with a NOS cylinder. The Royal Enfield LockStock is built to display the versatility of their 650cc platform. However, the bike is unlikely to make it to production.
