Bajaj has launched a new variant of the Pulsar christened the Classic 150 with a price tag of Rs 67,437 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). It is priced around Rs 10,000 lesser than the Twin Disc variant.
The Classic 150 is based on the standard bike although it misses out on the graphics and the edgy tank extensions. It will only be available in a solid black color scheme with blacked out components.
Apart from these changes, the bike remains the same mechanically. It is powered by a 150cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 15bhp and 12Nm of torque. Braking power is taken care of by a single disc brake at the front and a drum brake setup for the rear.
The bike is positioned as an affordable 150cc commuter motorcycle with the aspirational value of the Pulsar brand. The Pulsar Classic 150 directly competes against the Honda Unicorn 150 in the country.
