- Launch have been delayed to get the quality right
- Should be priced between Rs 3.5 lakhs ad Rs 4 lakhs
Royal Enfield’s upcoming two motorcycles, the Interceptor and the Continental GT 650 were spied testing in Chennai traffic. These two bikes are expected to hit the market in the next few months.
Unveiled at the 2017 EICMA Show, these new multi-cylinder motorcycles from Royal Enfield were supposed to be launched in India at the beginning of the current financial year. However, the launch was delayed as the Chennai-based manufacturer wanted to ensure only highest quality motorcycles are rolled out from its plant.
These bikes are powered by a 648cc parallel-twin air-cooled engine that produces 47bhp and 52Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. The company has equipped the bikes with a dual-channel ABS system.
These bikes are expected to carry price tags between Rs 3.5 lakhs and Rs 4 lakhs. Being flagship motorcycles, we’re expecting company to offer some really good aftermarket accessories to enhance its overall appeal.
