2018 Hero Karizma ZMR launched in India at Rs 1.08 lakhs

Hero MotoCorp has reintroduced the Karizma ZMR in the Indian market at Rs 1.08 lakhs. The motorcycle is also available in a dual-tone paint scheme, which retails at Rs 1.10 lakhs (both ex-showroom).

The Karizma is one of the most iconic brand names in the Indian two-wheeler industry. However, its popularity started to wane after Hero introduced the new EBR-inspired design in 2014. Sales dropped drastically and the motorcycle was pulled off the market in 2016. Now though, Hero has re-launched the bike with new paint schemes. 

Unlike before, the Karizma is now offered only in the ZMR trim with a fuel-injection system. It is a fully-faired motorcycle with a vertically-staccked headlamp setup at the front. It is powered by a 223cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine which delivers 20bhp and 19.7Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed transmission. It rides on 18-incjh wheels with telescopic forks at the front and dual-spring suspension at the rear. The brake setup consists of a 276mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc. ABS is not offered even as an optional extra.

The Karizma ZMR is offered in four paint schemes – red, black, white and orange. It shares the market space with the Bajaj Pulsar 220F, Pulsar NS200 and the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
