2017 KTM 390 Duke silently recalled in India

- Second recall this year. 

- Recall only affects the 2017 390 Duke.

- ECU bracket, headlamp bracket and pillion seat bushings to be replaced.

KTM has silently issued a recall for the 2017 390 Duke under the compulsory 'Monsoon Kit Fitment’.

The affected bikes will have the ECU bracket, headlamp bracket and pillion seat bushings replaced. The replacement ECU bracket will come with a cover to protect it from natural elements while the seat bushings have been revamped. This will increase the gap between the seat and the tail lamp which was prone to crack under the load of a pillion. 

The new headlamp bracket will reduce vibrations from the unit. Along with this, the manufacturer will also be updating the software of bikes in which the headlamp randomly turns off. KTM service centres will be replacing these components free of cost. 

This has been the second recall for the 390 Duke this year, the earlier one done in January. That recall addressed the issue with the digital instrumentation, headlamp malfunction and increased idle rpm. The 2018 KTM 390 Duke stays unaffected as the manufacturer claims that it has rectified these issues in the newer model.
