Benelli recently announced a new business venture with Adishwar Auto Ride India. The manufacturer is gearing up to launch the TRK 502 and the Leoncino in India by the end of this year.
The TRK 502 is an adventure-touring motorcycle which is available in a standard and off-road version. While the standard variant gets 17-inch alloy wheels and road-biased tyres, the off-road bike gets spoke wheels, 19-inch in the front and 17-inch at the rear with dual-sport tyres. The TRK 502 is powered by a 500cc, parallel-twin engine which produces 47bhp and 45Nm of torque. To boost its touring ability the bike gets a 20-litre fuel tank capacity.
On the other hand, the Leoncino is a scrambler-styled motorcycle with a modern-retro design language. It gets an LED headlamp, beefy front forks and a twin outlet exhaust that lends the bike a raw appeal. While the bike is also available with spoke wheels and dual-sport tyres, we can expect the alloy-wheel version to be launched in India. It uses a similar 500cc, parallel-twin engine as the TRK502. However, this unit puts out slightly higher 48bhp and 46Nm of torque.
While the Benelli TRK 502 is expected to retail around Rs 5.5 lakhs to Rs 6 lakhs, the Leoncino is likely to be price between Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 5.5 lakhs. The TRK 502 and Leoncino will compete against the Kawasaki Versys 650 and Z650 respectively.
