TVS has launched its latest contender in the commuter bike segment – the Radeon. With a price tag of Rs 48,400, the Radeon fills the void between two other 110cc bikes, the StaR City Plus and the Victor. Here is a photo gallery of the TVS Radeon from the launch -
The Radeon gets a conservative yet elegant look, with cues like a chrome bezel for the headlamp, thigh pads, gold crank case for the engine and the chromed exhaust.
The analogue instrument console gets a twin-pod design with TVS’ logo at the centre. The console’s design might look fancy, but it is quite basic as far as features go.
The seat gets a premium ribbed brown cover. The seating position is upright with neutral-set footpegs and low seat height.
At the heart of the Radeon is a 109cc air-cooled single-pot engine, mated to a four-speed transmission. It churns out 8.3bhp and 8.7Nm of torque.
The Radeon is built on a single cradle tubular chassis and tips the scales at 112 kilograms. It rides on 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
The suspension setup consists of telescopic front forks and dual springs at the rear. The latter can be adjusted for preload in five levels.
TVS claims a real-world fuel efficiency of 69.3kmpl, which should give the Radeon a range of almost 700 kilometres.
The brake setup consists of a 130mm drum brake at the front and a 110mm drum brake at the rear. Synchronised brake system is offered as standard.
The Radeon gets utilitarian features like a luggage rack at the rear and a USB charger. It is offered in four paint schemes – black, silver, golden beige and purple.
