Upgraded Bajaj Dominar spied on test

- Test mule was equipped with USD forks, twin exhaust end can

- Might update the 373cc engine too

- Likely to be launched in the next few weeks

Bajaj Motorcycles is gearing up to launch an upgraded version of the Dominar. A test mule was spied testing somewhere in the Himalayas. 

The spied prototype was equipped with USD forks, making us believe that the Pune-based manufacturer is focus on enhancing the ride and handling attributes of the motorcycle. The bike also sports a twin exhaust end can which makes the bike look a bit sharper. The radiator on the test mule looks larger and is marginally redesigned too. 

It is still not clear if Bajaj has reworked the 373cc single-cylinder motor. Currently, this liquid-cooled engine produces 34.5bhp and 35Nm of peak torque. There’s a slim chance of some updates on the engine as well, given that the BS-VI emission policy will come to effect in 2020. So the company could have worked on the Dominar’s engine with a view to keeping up with the upcoming policy.

We are expecting that the company would launch the upgraded Dominar in a few weeks, so that it could cater to the festive season demand. The prices will definitely be increased, but marginally.
