- Likely to get a bump in power and upgraded electronics.
- Expected to get custom-inspired paint schemes.
- To be launched at Intermot on 2 October.
Triumph has released a video on its social media channels teasing the 2019 Street Twin.
The video states that the bike gets ‘More performance’ and ‘More style’ hinting at a possible bump in power and cosmetic updates. While the 2019 Street Twin is expected to continue with its widely-accepted classic styling it might get an LED-headlamp and a variety of custom-inspired paint schemes.
The 2019 Street Twin will be powered by a 900cc, parallel-twin engine although with a bump in power output. The current motor produces 54.2bhp and 80Nm of torque. It is also likely to get an upgraded electronics package which we expect to be a three-level traction control system along with ABS. The chrome-bezel instrument pod is likely to be untouched as it exudes a classic appeal. It consists of an analogue speedometer with a small digital unit that displays a fuel gauge, gear position, odometer, two trip meters, clock and traction control indicator.
Triumph will unveil the 2019 Street Twin on 2 October at the Intermot. We can expect the bike to be launched here early next year. The bike competes against the Ducati Scrambler in India.
