- XPulse 200T, XPulse 200 spied in India
- Launch by March 2019
- Expected to be priced aggressively
Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming bikes, the XPulse 200 and the XPulse 200T have been spied testing somewhere in India. This is the first time the bikes have been seen on public roads.
The XPulse 200 was first unveiled at the 2017 EICMA Show, Italy, whereas the Xpulse 200T debuted last month at the 2018 EICMA Show. The XPulse 200 is an entry-level adventure bike whereas the XPulse 200 T is a touring version. Both the bikes will share the same platform and engine but get different cycle parts to make it off-road and road ready respectively.
The XPulse 200 gets spoke-wheels, high-rise front mudguard, fork gaiters, bash plate, dual-purpose tyres and a different exhaust. The XPulse 200T gets alloy-wheels, side exhaust, road tyres and misses out on bash plate.
Both the bikes are powered by the same 200cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine as the Xtreme 200R, but with revised gearing. This unit produces 18.4bhp and 17.1Nm of torque via a five-speed gearbox. It gets a 14-litre fuel tank capacity with a range of 450km. The bike is loaded with some new features like Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster which has integrated navigation system.
The Gurgaon-based manufacturer will launch both the bikes together by March 2019. We are expecting a sub-1 lakh price tag for the XPulse.
