- Gets carbon fibre bodywork and Ohlins suspension
- Lighter and more powerful than the Thruxton R
- Limited to only 750 units
Subsequent to the teaser video of the Thruxton TFC released only a few days ago, Triumph Motorcycles has officially revealed this drop-dead gorgeous motorcycle in the UK. The new Thruxton TFC is the company’s first modern classic café racer debuting the Triumph Factory Custom (TFC) division.
While the Thruxton R is already a beautiful looking motorcycle, the Thruxton TFC takes the exquisiteness to a whole new level. What it gets is a complete carbon fibre bodywork which includes a bespoke one-piece carbon fibre fairing, mudguard, seat cowl and heel guards. The motorcycle comes with titanium Vance & Hines silencers which also feature carbon fibre end caps. Then there are the other bits like billet machined aluminium top yoke with TFC branding, brushed nickel mirror centres, leather seat, a tinted screen and a billet machined aluminium oil filler cap. With the above upgrades, the Thruxton TFC weighs 5 kg lighter than the Thruxton R.
And that’s not all. The Triumph TFC receives a few mechanical updates too. The T120 unit has been tweaked to produce 9.8bhp more which takes the overall power output to 105.8bhp. Apart from that, the bike gets fully-adjustable Ohlins suspension, Brembo radial master cylinder with adjustable brake lever and Metzeler Racetec RR tyres.
The production of the Thruxton TFC will be limited to only 750 units worldwide, wherein each build is “never to be repeated”, says the company. Every Thruxton TFC will be badged with a unique number and will come with a personalized TFC handover pack including a personalized book and a signed letter of authentication.
In the UK, Triumph has priced the Thruxton TFC at £ 17,500 which converts to Rs 16.15 lakhs (ex-showroom) excluding customs and import duties. Currently, there is no news of the Thruxton TFC being allotted for India.
